Some people like olives and some people are crazy about them. If you are one of the latter, you might be tempted to eat this delicious ripe olive tapenade by the spoonful. Tapenade is a paste made by crushing up ripe green olives with olive oil, herbs and a pinch of pure salt. Tapenade is the ideal condiment as it lasts a long time, a little goes a long way, and it's a tasty compliment to many foods. A little tapenade spread on a romaine lettuce leaf or a slice of cucumber is the favorite way to eat it here at Sunfood.
